Our car had an engine failure just west of the store on Sunday night and the staff were very helpful, kind and understanding when I piled in with a young child in pajamas and the elderly family dog to wait for a ride. The next morning we waited for AAA there and some of the same staff was on duty and were again outstanding. Thank you for your kindness in our hour of need.
Used to be our favorite place to stop...not anymore. Today we stopped in to see the new place and to get gas and a couple of double scoop chocolate ice cream cones but they couldnt help us because while they had chocolate ice cream in the back freezer there was no room for the container in the one up front so... too bad. And one tub was just about empty so even though the handwritten sign said chocolate...I guess just not for us today....Plus....no more awesome ham sandwiches. *** I was there again this last weekend... still miss the great sandwiches and customer service was lukewarm so I don't really feel like I need to upgrade my rating ***
This particular Break Time has a large floor plan, spacious bathroom, and tons of places to park. I found that a lot of people coming home from the Lake of the Ozarks like to stop at this location because of the convenience of being right next to the highway, but also being on the North side of 7 highway. So it's super easy to exit and re-enter the highway without a bunch of rigamarole - just two right turns.
